Knowing the best deals on mens soccer cleats

Knowing the best deals on mens soccer cleats

know the best offers for mens soccer shoes can Soccer

a very interesting and fun sport, but it can also be deceptively expensive when you add up all the costs for the football accessories, equipment, uniform requirements and much more. For this reason I decided to write this little article to help you find the best soccer equipment for your needs and help you understand if he’s smart, do not spend a little more than money.

The first two are things every player needs football boots and shin guards. With the soccer shin guards, you will usually spend less than 0, but a decent pair of football boots can sometimes cost more, or 0. You should be sure to get the right pair of cleats of football for the first time, allowing you to save some money in the long term. Molded rubber cleats and studs seem to dominate the market. It seems more and more leagues are banning the use of metal studs. For this reason, it is important to your league rules before you check your hard-earned money on football boots. Even moderately skilled players do not need to spend more than about a good pair of soccer shoes. It is often the case that a pair of cleats are great for your needs if you are a very experienced player.

When it comes to Shin guards can, however, ensure that the guards to buy sufficient padding. There is nothing worse than entered in the shin and a bruised weeks. In my experience, an extra is worth it here. Many guards in the series are to nice and do the work enough.

No, I know it’s more football equipment to buy, but these elements are high up misunderstandings on the list of important and most frequently.

Remember when sex scandals were limited mostly to movie stars and politicians? The sports world continues to catch up, with France’s soccer team for the World Cup now engulfed in allegations of improper behavior.

Police in Paris are investigating whether France’s soccer superstar and two other players on the French team had sex with an underage girl who’s alleged to have been working for a suspected prostitution ring at a Paris night club.

The questions about Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema and Sidney Govou come as France awaits its World Cup team to be named, in about three weeks. Ribery is the unquestioned star of the French team, who in 2007 signed for about million to play for the Bayern Munich team.

The AP reports no charges have been filed. Prostitution is legal in France, but clients are liable if the prostitute isn’t over 18 years old, the AP says, and offenders face up to three years in prison and a ,000 fine.

The woman in question, Zahia Dehar, now 18, has told police she had underage sex with all three players, according to the Daily Telegraph. The English newspaper reported her saying she was “shocked” the players faced charges and that she told them she was an adult. She also the players had treated her “with utter respect” and should be left alone.

The Daily Telegraph says Dehar was one of 18 girls questioned by police after a raid last week on the Café Zaman, a nightclub on the Champs Elysee. Police said she has cooperated and doesn’t face criminal charges.

A scandal ripping through the World Cup worsened on Monday when the French coach said some of his rebellious players may not want to play their final group game against hosts South Africa on Tuesday.

The Gallic soap opera contrasted with some of the best action of the World Cup so far.

Their boycott of training on Sunday after striker Nicolas Anelka was sent home for insulting coach Raymond Domenech has horrified the French government and people. The players have been pilloried as overpaid brats.

The crisis took a new turn when Domenech told a news conference it was possible some of the players would not want to play South Africa in Bloemfontein when both teams face elimination unless they secure a high scoring victory.

President Nicolas Sarkozy has asked his sports minister to visit Les Bleus’ camp in Knysna.

The police probe into a suspected prostitution ring at a Paris nightspot has cast serious doubt as to whether France soccer players Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema will be named to the team’s World Cup squad.

Ribery has already testified, and Benzema is set to be questioned over alleged sexual relations with an underage prostitute operating out of a trendy Paris club.

With France coach Raymond Domenech set to name his squad in about three weeks, the sex scandal could not have come at a worse time for the beleaguered team. It follows a difficult qualifying campaign, during which Ribery was one of the rare players to shine.

Soccer Shirts Get Kids Active

Soccer Shirts Get Kids Active

Soccer Shirts Get Kids Active

In this modern age, children are more sedentary than ever. Most children spend their days as follows: they wake up, eat an unhealthy breakfast, go to school, eat an unhealthy lunch, come home, play video games, eat an unhealthy dinner, do homework, and then go bed. There is no room for physical activity in most children’s lives. Even tradition physical education curriculum has been cut from most elementary school programs because of budget problems or lack of staff. How can you encourage your child or the child of a friend or family to be more active? Nagging certainly will not help.

Human nature causes us to feel like even the most well-intentioned and well-meaning suggestion is a personal attack. Telling your child that he or she needs to lose weight or play sports to better his or her health can have the exact opposite affect that you intention. Think about it. When was the last thing your child was willing to do for his or her own good? That bedroom is still messy and that homework still requires hours of nagging to complete, I guarantee you. How can you get your child to be physically active without making them seem like it is your idea? Get them a soccer shirt as a present. It can be the start of something great for your child. A soccer shirt can help your child feel better about himself or herself and be more active, healthy, and happy.

To get your child physically fit, you need to get them excited about something. Team sports are great for improving the health and overall well-being of a child, but you simply cannot force a child to participate. His or her participation will be half-hearted at best and being forced to join a sports team that bores him might just turn your child off of organized sports activities for good. And we certainly do not want that. We want to give a soccer shirt to encourage lifelong athletic participation. A lifetime of organized activity is a good way to prevent disease and ensure a long life.

If you give your child a soccer shirt to encourage him to get excited about soccer and therefore physical activity, your child will have one of three reactions. He might be thrilled and want to start soccer tomorrow. He might be fairly neutral and not care one way or the other about a soccer shirt. In this case, just give him time. If he is willing to at least try soccer, he will probably love it. In the third case, you might have a child who asks openly hostel to the idea of playing soccer. What do I need a soccer jersey for? They might ask, lip curled. This is dumb! In that case, you can increase the coolness of that soccer top with just a quick trick. “Thank heavens,” you should exclaim. “I thought you wanted soccer top but I’m so glad you do not want to play soccer. It can be dangerous!” Just like that, that soccer jersey is the coolest present your son has ever gotten.

WORLD CUP BETTING – Uruguay vs Netherlands

WORLD CUP BETTING – Uruguay vs Netherlands

WORLD CUP BETTING – Uruguay vs Netherlands

WORLD CUP BETTING â€" Uruguay vs Netherlands
It’s make or break time this Tuesday evening as Uruguay take on the Netherlands for a place in the World Cup final. Who will be the first finalists? Betrepubluc previews the match here.
Uruguay v Netherlands Soccer Betting Tip :
What a matchup we have for the first Semi Final at the 2010 World Cup. Available at odds of 80/1 and 14/1 respectively both of these sides, Uruguay especially, have performed better than most people could have predicted.

Who will reach the final though? The silky smooth Dutch? Or the tenacious Uruguayans with their never-say-die attitude?Netherlands the favourites to progress to the final within ninety minutes at odds of 4/6, with Uruguay available at 5/1 and the draw can be backed at 5/2. However, I feel that this game will be a lot tighter than the odds suggest.
In their Quarter Final match Uruguay upset the whole of Africa and the majority of the world as Luis Suarez saved his country from elimination by punching the ball off the line as Ghana were about to score the winner in injury time at the end of the second period of extra time. He was red-carded and he gave away a penalty but instead of a goal Ghana had one of the most pressurised penalties to convert.
In the end Asamoah Gyan hit the bar with the penalty and Uruguay went on to take victory via the penalty shootout. How will Uruguay do against the Dutch without half of their forward line that has found the net six times so far in the tournament?
As if missing Suarez wasn’t enough trouble for the Uruguayan side, they will also have to face the major headache of Arjen Robben. Robben was electric in the second half of the Jekyll and Hyde performance that the Netherlands put in against Brazil in the Quarter Finals.
The Dutch were terrible in the first half and deserved to be losing 1-0, if not more, at half time. They were devoid of ideas for at least another fifteen minutes at the start of the second half, but a lucky goal saw them level and from that point onwards there was only one side that was going to win the match.
If they can perform like they did in last thirty minutes v Brazil from the start of the game then they can win this match, but if they let Uruguay in they will find it difficult to get back into the game without a massive fight, and I’m not sure the Dutch have it in them.
The teams are fairly equal in the goal charts, with the Dutch outscoring Uruguay nine goals to seven, but Uruguay have conceded one less than the Dutch with teams only finding the net against them twice. Uruguay also have the standout goal scorer of these two sides on their books, with Diego Forlan showing why he is such a highly regarded marksman in La Liga.
With Suarez suspended I feel that he will be focal point of Uruguay’s attacks and he will find the net. Should he do so early on in the game then, with their ‘give all’ attitude and tight defensive line, Uruguay could very well find themselves in their first World Cup final since they last lifted the trophy in 1950.
The Dutch will want to keep the game level for as long as possible or, even better, find themselves ahead early on as they displayed a very negative attitude when trailing to Brazil in the Quarter Finals. I can’t see Uruguay giving the Dutch an easy way back into the game nor losing the plot in ways that Brazil did in the Quarter Finals.
Who will win the match? It could go either way, depending on who scores first as I feel that will be the most important moment of the match. Should Uruguay score first I urge you to back them to win the game on an In-Running market as soon as you possibly can. However, due to the uncertainty over who will find the net first my bets for this game are Diego Forlan to score anytime @ 11/4 and there to be less than 2.5 goals to be scored in the match @ 4/7.

“World Cup a defining moment for hosts”
South African president Jacob Zuma has dedicated the first World Cup on African soil to Nelson Mandela. There is hope among FIFA and South Africans generally that the 91-year-old – the first democratically-elected president of South Africa when he came to power in 1994 – will be well enough to attend at least part of the opening match of the World Cup between the hosts and Mexico on Friday.President Zuma hailed Mandela’s role in securing the right to host the finals back in May 2004.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 60th FIFA Congress this evening, he said: “Nelson Mandela worked hard that we should win the right to host this tournament. We dedicate the World Cup to him.”There are a few moments that define a nation’s history. We stand on the threshold of one as we draw closer and closer to Friday, June 11 when the World Cup officially begins.”What an honour and what a privilege for this 16-year-old democracy. Our country has become a stage for the international community to celebrate humanity, achievement and friendship.

“We would like to thank FIFA for their constant support. You refused to believe the pessimists who said South Africa would not be able to host this tournament.”Zuma also relayed a message sent to him from Mandela, which read: “Today marks yet another significant day in the history of South Africa’s democracy.”We know that as ambassadors of the 208 (member association) countries you represent you will reaffirm our message against racism. We wish you every success in your deliberations.”FIFA president Sepp Blatter said Friday’s opening match would be the culmination of a “love story” between him, his organisation and the African continent.

“We started a love story because we trusted Africa, we have confidence in Africa and that is why we have decided to host the World Cup in South Africa,” he said.”If you have had the opportunity to be in the regi on of Sandton yesterday or today then you will have realised that the fan-fest is already on.”If somebody still has a doubt that the World Cup is not connecting people in Africa, then come and look at this.”Blatter was proud of the role FIFA has played in South Africa over the years, from the expulsion of the old apartheid national association in 1976 through to the re-acceptance of a newly-constituted South African Football Association in 1992 – two years before the first democratic elections.

Tomorrow marks the start of the Congress itself, when the 208 member associations of FIFA will vote on a number of issues put forward for discussion. Not on the agenda but clearly in people’s thoughts is the bidding for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, with bid committees taking the chance to lobby association officials in an Expo fair after the Congress breaks up.The hosting rights for 2018 and 2022 will be decided at a FIFA executive committ ee meeting in December.

What You Don't Know About Soccer Shirts

What You Don't Know About Soccer Shirts

What You Don’t Know About Soccer Shirts

You’ve seen them everywhere, because soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world. Soccer fans are known for their dedication and willingness to express their love for their favorite team, and you have probably witnessed at least one person wearing a shirt in broad daylight, despite the fact that there is no game scheduled on that day. You’ve most likely noticed the wearer’s aloof nature, as well as their tendency to wear it without any shame. The shirt itself is sleek and shiny, hanging loosely and comfortably around the wearer’s torso. Despite the unique features of the shirt, no one bats an eye, because they can pass off as casual wear for anyone. Those are only some of the facts that people discover when noticing others wearing soccer shirts.

They have been around since the beginning of soccer (or, as people call it in Europe, football). The usual wear of players back then, however, was extremely different. Shirts were simple and made of cotton, making them exceptionally thick, and at times, uncomfortable. Designs were simple, composed only of plain colors, or sometimes stripes as a variation.

As the sport developed, so did the dress code. After a time, from heavy fibers, soccer shirts were instead manufactured using nylon or polyester. As a result, the clothing became much lighter and easier to move around in. The change in fabric is also the reason shirts now exhibit that glowing effect. They no longer absorb sweat, but are instead worn primarily for the player’s comfort. During cold weather, players’ jerseys are sometimes long-sleeved. Although most shirts now have v-necks or are collared, certain teams still occasionally wear button-up shirts.

Soccer jerseys, worn by fans and players alike, are never complete without their actual designs. Team jerseys are the most commonly worn types of shirts, because they show what team you support. Currently, the most popular team shirts in shops include Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, England and more. Team shirts are designed to feature their trademark colors. Although some teams may use the same color (such as Manchester United and Liverpool shirts both being red), different shades are used. Teams or leagues like Barcelona, Celtic, AC Milan and Inter Milan also incorporate stripes into their shirts. A team can have up to four colors on its jersey to be distinctive. Other than that, the team’s name or logo is printed on the shirt, and sometimes, even the sponsor’s logo is included. Lastly, if the shirt is player-specific, then the player’s is also displayed on the back of the shirt, as well as their number.

Soccer enthusiasts are able to distinguish fake shirts from original ones. Fake shirts may match the wrong details together, such as a player’s name being misspelled, or having the wrong number. Sometimes, even the colors are off! Be careful not to make that kind of mistake if ever you want to purchase your own soccer shirt.

Now that you know a bit more about soccer shirts, you will see much more than just a person in a soccer jersey when you meet a fan.

World Cup 2010 - Arjen Robben makes full recovery and will play in South Africa 2010

World Cup 2010 - Arjen Robben makes full recovery and will play in South Africa 2010

World Cup 2010 – Arjen Robben makes full recovery and will play in South Africa 2010

Arjen Robben, the outstanding striker from Bayern Munich, has completed a full recovery from an injury on his left leg suffered during a friendly match between the Netherlands and Hungary en route to World Cup South Africa 2010.

According to a press release from the Netherlands Soccer Federation (KNVB), Robben is almost fully recovered and his condition threats no serious problem for his participation in the World Cup. The team’s doctors have said that he is good to go for the tournament.

Robben is well aware that the World Cup is perhaps one of the best chances he will ever get to consolidate what has already been quite a successful career. This is why he has paid so much attention and effort to his recovery. He was suffering from a hamstring injury. These sorts of injuries usually take from 4-6 weeks for a full recovery. Despite this prognosis his good health and the extra motivation and effort Robben has put on his recovery have allowed him to get back in shape in a much shorter time.

Robben’s quick recovery has come as a great relief for both his national squad teammates as well as for Bert van Marwijk, the Netherlands Head Coach. Marwijk feels quite calm and is well aware that there is not going to be a need to find a substitute for such a phenomenal player.

Marwijk has said that it has been quite a relief to know that Arjen Robben will be able to play in the World Cup. The team really wants to stand out and have a good fight for the championship.

The Netherland’s head coach has said on press conference that Robben is quite an essential part of the team’s offensive tactical plan. There are plenty of high expectations for both the player and the team in general for this World Cup.

When the striker hurt himself, it was quite unclear if the player would be able to make it back on time for South Africa 2010. After the game, the team doctors took a closer look at his injury and came to realize that it wasn’t as bad as they had thought.

Despite the fact that Robben has showed a full recovery, he has yet to take full part of the National Team. He is still waiting for the approval of the federation to fly over to South Africa and begin the training camp with the rest of his teammates.

Marwijk expects to have Robben available for his first match. It is still uncertain if he will start in the first round matches. If he doesn’t there is still the good chance that he will be starting in the following round games, when his team needs him most. The Netherlands begin their World Cup participation on June 14th against Denmark in the first game of the E group.

Everything is ready to go in South Africa for the world’s biggest and most pretigious soccer tournament. This is it. We are only a couple days away from the start of the most saw after sporting event. Don’t miss out on the World Cup 2010 action at betias.com.

Greek tragedy awaits against awesome Argentina
As the half-time whistle approached in Greece’s match against Nigeria, Otto Rehhagel’s side were staring a group stage exit in the face. But Dimitrios Salpingidis’ goal – amazingly Greece’s first ever at the World Cup – brought them level and with Nigeria reduced to ten men, the Pirate Ship went on to record an historic victory.

Defeat to South Korea in the op ening game was made all the more disappointing because of the tame performance, but it was rectified as Greece mustered a significantly improved display against the Super Eagles to give themselves a chance of progress from Group B. Now Rehhagel, the oldest coach in World Cup history, must mastermind a way past the most intimidating of obstacles, Diego Maradona’s Argentina.

Comparing the individuals at both sides’ disposal makes for grim reading if you are associated with Greece. The likes of Salpingidis and Theofanis Gekas are certainly no match for Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain on paper, but Rehhagel has made his name by springing the most shocking of upsets. But even if the spirit of Euro 2004 is invoked on Tuesday, one feels it may still not be enough to overcome a hugely impressive Argentina side.

Higuain spurned several opportunities in the narrow 1-0 victory over Nigeria but the Real Madrid striker was at his prolific best in his last outing, netting a hat-trick against South Korea. Argentina have been inspired by the irrepressible Messi, who seems determined to prove that he can succeed where Ronaldinho failed – by proving his credentials as one of the world’s best on the biggest stage of them all. For Maradona, it’s simply a case of “same again please boys”, and if his players heed that call, there is little hope for Greece.

Greece player to watch: Giorgos Karagounis. The”Greek Gattuso”, as he is affectionately known, is not just a tenacious midfield dynamo, but the Greeks’ creator-in-chief. Capable of playing in either defensive or attacking midfield, Karagounis has drifted between the two roles in the opening two games – looking particularly dangerous in an offensive capacity against Nigeria. Greece are renowned for their ability from set-pieces and Karagounis is the man they rely on to deliver.

Argentina player to watch: Carlos Tevez. The industrious Tevez failed to find the net in the first two fixtures but he has continued to be an effective outlet in harassing opposing defenders. He continues to demonstrate a high work rate and despite Diego Milito and Sergio Aguero waiting in the wings, Tevez’s overall contribution to the team should mean he retains his place even if he continues to fire blanks.

Key Battle: Dimitrios Salpingidis v Gabriel Heinze – Salpingidis’ purposeful display against Nigeria resulted in the Greece forward netting the equalising goal and he has the potential to be a menace when drifting out to the wings where he will look to exploit Jonas Guttierez’s lack of defensive nous and Heinze’s lack of pace. Argentina continue to be dominant in attack but it’s at the back where question marks remain, with Heinze and defensive partner Martin Demichelis prone to lapses in concentration.

Trivia: There are eight Panathinaikos players in Greece’s World Cup squad, the largest representation by one club in any World Cup team. There are three clubs with seven representatives in one World Cup squad: Bayern Munich (Germany), Barcelona (Spain) and April 25 (North Korea).

Stats: Gonzalo Higuain (age 22 years, 189 days) became the youngest player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup match since Florian Albert (20 years, 261 days)against Bulgaria in 1962. Only two other Argentines aged 22 or younger have scored multiple goals in one game at the World Cup: Diego Maradona (age 21) in 1982 and Carlos Peucelle (21) in 1930.

Odds: Greece(6.00), Argentina (1.61), the draw (3.80) are all on offer at Bet365. A 1-0 win for Greece may seem like a long shot but it’s priced at 13.00.

Prediction: Greece have to go all-out to win the game and they have proved under Rehhagel before that they are more than capable of holding on to one-goal leads at major tournaments. But their desire to get forward will open them up, and with Messi & Co waiting to pounce, Argentina have more than enough quality to emerge as winners.

Tuesday 22nd June 2010
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Kick-off: 19:30

Rehhagel: Argentina not just about Messi

Greece coach Otto Rehhagel has a plan to contain Lionel Messi in the final Group B encounter but admits Argentina have plenty of other threats which need taking care of.

World player of the year Messi is the stand-out player in a squad of immense talent and Rehhagel believes just to focus on the Barcelona star would leave them open to failings elsewhere.

Having secured the first World Cup win in their history last time out against Nigeria, Greece have a chance of qualifying for the second round if they can better South Korea’s result against the point-less Nigeria.

“I am aware we are playing against Messi, the best player in the world,” said Rehhagel.

“I am not going to tell you how we are going to stop Messi because we don’t give secrets away.

“But wherever he turns up we will try to attack him – but no team has been able to stop him yet.

“For the game Carlos Tevez will not play and Diego Milito will take his place but it makes no difference because Argentina have a lot of world-class players.”

However, Konstantinos Katsouranis, celebrating his 31st birthday, gave an indication of what the plan was.

“One player cannot stop Messi but a team as a whole, yes, we can limit him and that is what we are going to do.”

Rehhagel admits his team’s chances against the South Americans are slim but, considering some of the shock results so far at this World Cup, the veteran German has not given up hope.

“Every player has to play 110% and the game starts at 0-0,” he added. “We have a chance and at the end I hope we don’t say we have missed an opportunity.

“We will try to find the right way to hold our own in the individual positions to provide resistance.

“We will just see how we are going to stand up against the Argentinians.

“It is a big game for us because Argentina have world-class players but we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”

Argentina coach Diego Maradona has dismissed suggestions he might rest Messi, insisting it would be a “sin” to deprive the public of seeing the best player on the planet.

Prior to the start of the World Cup there had been concerns about Messi`s state of health following a gruelling season with Barcelona and the 22-year-old then played the full 90 minutes in Argentina`s opening two matches against Nigeria and South Korea.

With Argentina having won both those games to establish a three-point lead at the top of Group B heading into the final round of fixtures, it might have crossed Maradona`s mind to give Messi a break for the clash with Greece.

That prospect seemed even more likely as Maradona tested a radically different team in training to the one that beat South Korea 4-1, with Messi one of those not involved.

However, Maradona insisted the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year would feature in the match in Polokwane.

“Lionel Messi always wants to play and I thought I should give him a break (in training) but if you have a player as good as Leo, who is the best player in the world, I think it would be a sin not to give Messi to the people, to the team, and leave out the player who can certainly make the difference in a match,” said Maradona, whose side are not yet guaranteed a place in the last 16 as three teams can still finish on six points in Group B.

“We of course wanted to give Lionel Messi a break (in training). He will play.”

Maradona also played down Messi`s lack of success in front of goal.

The Barca ace had plenty of chances to score against Nigeria and South Korea but could not make the most of them, with great goalkeeping denying him on a number of occasions.

“If Messi is having a bad run then let him continue with that bad run because I’m extremely pleased with Messi`s performances,” said Maradona.

“He goes out to play and help his team-mates. Leo helps define the match and creates things for the other players.”

Moment of truth for Argentina and Nigeria
The talent in the Argentina squad is so vast that Diego Maradona has left out two of Inter Milan’s Champions League-winning stars – Esteban Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti – and the two-goal hero of the final, Diego Milito, may be his sixth-choice forward.

Nonetheless, the coach’s selections and tactics have been so erratic that a team that could have been the overall favourite is considered to have little hope of going beyond the quarter-finals. That may be unfair, and the negative press could prove a motivating factor, but the fact remains that few believe they can compete with the very best this summer.

Nigeria’s preparations have been no less hectic. The Nigerian federation finally decided to dismiss Shaibu Amodu after the African Nations Cup and appointed former Sweden boss Lars Lagerback in February. Lagerback is a good and experienced coach, but the lack of preparation time has severely damaged his hopes of getting it right in South Africa.

Argentina player in focus: Lionel Messi. While Messi has often struggled to find his best form under Diego Maradona, it is welcome news that the coach is planning to adopt a 4-3-3 formation with the Barcelona star featuring alongside Gonzalo Higuain and Carlos Tevez. The rumours are that Messi will be given a free role and allowed to drift behind his fellow attackers, which could allow him to flourish on the world stage.

Nigeria player in focus: Obafemi Martins. While Nigeria are not short of attacking talent, Martins has the best goals-to-games ratio for the Super Eagles with 17 goals in 31 appearances. The Wolfsburg man scored the goal that took Nigeria to the tournament and, having played in Serie A and the Premier League before his stint in Germany, he is used to coming up against the very best.

Key battle: Javier Mascherano v Haruna Lukman, a 19-year-old who plays his club football for Monaco, faces the task of replacing John Obi Mikel in the Nigeria midfield. Mikel plays a far more creative role for his national side than at Chelsea, so his replacement will need to be on top form to get the better of one of the game’s greatest defensive midfielders and supply the attackers.

Trivia: Diego Maradona is the father-in-law of Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.

Stats: Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero were Argentina’s leading scorers in qualification with four goals apiece. Gonzalo Higuain, Carlos Tevez and Martin Palermo each scored one.

Odds: Argentina (1.50), the draw (3.80), Nigeria (8.00) with Bet365. Carlos Tevez is at 6.00 for first or last goal-scorer.

Prediction: Argentina remain a difficult team to predict, given their wretched performances in qualifying and their wealth of talent available. Nonetheless, France reached the final four years ago despite difficulties with their coach and Maradona’s men could surprise a few people in South Africa. Lagerback has had little time to work with his squad since taking over in February and, with John Obi Mikel ruled out through injury, Argentina should come out with a win.

Argentina Vs Nigeria Live Streaming Teams Profile:
Argentina :Group B
Argentina made heavy weather of their qualification in their tough South America World Cup group. The two-time World Cup winners needed a late Mario Bolatti’s late goal to beat Uruguay in their last group game to qualify for South Africa. National coach Diego Maradona has been criticised for his selections and tactics but he has delivered what he has promised – sending Argentina to the World Cup.It would be unconceivable to see Argentina miss the world’s most watched sporting tournament. Not when they have an array of world-class talent in their squad. Lionel Messi, the current Ballon d’Or holder, Sergio Agureo (Maradona’s son-in-law), Carlos Tevez, Maxi Rodríguez, Javier Zanetti, Javier Mascherano and old time favourites Martin Palermo and Juan Sebastian Veron.

Chances for Argentina to win fifa world cup 2010:
Qualification was a bumpy ride in the extreme and included a 6-1 hammering by Bolivia, but if Maradona can get the balance right between motivator and tactician then Argentina are equipped to reach the semi-finals, or even win it.

Nigeria :Group B
The Super Eagles sneaked into the World Cup finals thanks to a hard-earned 3-2 win over Kenya, and other results going their way on the last day of qualifying. This team, under Coach Shaibu Amodu, are not the team that thrilled the world in their surge to the round of 16 in both 1994 and 1998.The squad is filled with athletic journeymen such as Everton’s Joseph Yobo and Chelsea’s Jon Obi Mikel. Yakubu and Obefemi Martins provide an attacking threat, but you wonder about their ability to score at the very highest level.

Chances for Nigeria to win fifa world cup 2010:
Internal strife could be the greatest threat to the Super Eagles’ hopes, with Amodu expected to be dumped before the finals in favour of a foreign coach. Unlikely to reach the last 16.
